PHASE 4 :  Explore the IMPACT of conceptual variation on humanitarian practices

The last and maybe the most important question to be answered then is: What are the consequences of conceptual variation?

The objective is to assess the impact of the lack of a shared conceptual framework at the operational level. We will empirically examine how this may have consequences on inter-organizational trust, on the effectiveness of humanitarian strategies and on the perception of the humanitarian community by local, national and international actors.

Positive as well as negative consequences will be explored through case studies organised in partnership with humanitarian actors.

The methodology for this work stream will be developed in 2019
