James Munn, is the Director of NRC Geneva and Humanitarian Policy, where he leads NRC’s engagement with UN agencies and member states, as well as our global humanitarian policy portfolio. The main focus of work is leading NRC’s humanitarian policy through advocacy for the rights of displaced and vulnerable populations affected by crises.
James Munn has extensive experience in humanitarian coordination, organizational development, change processes and programme management. Prior to joining NRC, James spent 11 years in HQ, regional, and country positions. He holds a doctorate from the University of Exeter and has published numerous articles focused on gendered identities in times of conflict, accountability and transparency, and post-conflict nationalism.
